Katia Vitale received a formal education in Art Direction & Graphic Design and she has a passion for art which has always played a significant role in her life.
For over 10 years Katia has attended the art studio of the Swiss Artist Fausto Corda in Gordola, Switzerland. She studied and worked with prominent artists such as Pierantonio Verga at the Accademia Galli in Como, Italy and Brian Stanford at Franklin University Switzerland. Lately with Paola Rezzonico, under whose guidance she found her own mark.
Her work is a contemporary vision of nature. Katia creates abstract and minimalist landscapes, taking inspiration from colors, light and fleeting moments that capture her attention. Her paintings explore the contrast between movement and stillness, discovering an image that exists somewhere between reality and memory.
She has exhibited in Ticino, and her private commissions include work for the USA, Switzerland and Spain. Her home in the Italian part of Switzerland as well as her travels and her interest for digital photography have a direct influence on her art.
